Status
As we have no shareholders, any surpluses that we make
are ploughed back into the fund for the benefit of our
customers. We also fund a charitable trust from
which donations are made to medical charities.
Service with
the personal touch
In over 85 years we have built up a reputation for service
based on human values and high standards of business
ethics. When dealing with people who are ill or anxious
about their health, we endeavour to respond with sympathy,
compassion and a sense of natural justice.

In 2005 we were proud
to be awarded
the Ethics Foundation’s Ethics
Mark
for the way we conduct our business. PHSA was the
first UK insurance company to be awarded this distinction.

Protection
PHSA is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services
Authority. Our FSA Register Number is 202311. We
are also members of the Financial Ombudsman Service and
the Financial Services Compensation Scheme.
